How it works
SHARE runs on Robinhood Chain Testnet (chain ID 46630). Checking whether claim fees are covered.
Funding a gift
You choose a dollar amount. SHARE shows the exact token quantity before you approve anything, then deposits it into the escrow contract from your wallet. The tokens sit there until claimed or refunded.
If you do not already hold the stock
On mainnet, SHARE buys the stock token for you at send time through Uniswap on Robinhood Chain, using ETH from your wallet, and shows the guaranteed minimum quantity your recipient will receive before you sign. If a stock has no live pool, buying for it is marked unavailable instead of being estimated. On testnet there is no buying: you send practice tokens you already hold.
Bearer links
Each gift link contains a secret held only in the URL fragment, so the claim secret is never sent to our servers. Anyone with the link can claim the gift once, so treat it like cash and send it only to the person you intend. One link, one successful claim.
Claim fees
Claiming is an on-chain transaction, so it costs a small amount of ETH. The sender contributes the current estimated claim cost plus starter testnet ETH for the recipient's wallet. SHARE adds no service fee. The recipient can then claim with email and send the tokens later without first buying ETH.
What the recipient can do
They open the link, sign in with email if they have no wallet, and the stock token lands in a wallet that belongs to them. They can keep it or move it to another wallet. Selling, swapping and cashing out are not part of this version, and the app never pretends otherwise.
Expiry and refunds
You pick a 24-hour, 7-day or 30-day expiry (7 days by default). If nobody claims before expiry, the escrow lets the original sender, and only the original sender, withdraw the tokens back.
What you are sending
A stock token references the price of a stock, for example an NVDA stock token. It is not legal ownership of NVIDIA shares. Rights, redemption and custody are defined by the token issuer, so read the issuer's official terms. SHARE is an independent application and is not affiliated with Robinhood or any listed company.
On testnet, dollar amounts are reference estimates only. Testnet tokens are practice assets with no real monetary value, even when SHARE displays a familiar dollar amount.
